There were two key reasons why we wanted to switch to online exams. The first one was to save time on grading for teachers so they could focus more on the actual curriculum and teaching. The second was that we wanted our students to be able to do their exams in an environment they are comfortable in. We are a 1:1 school and our students are more comfortable writing on their computers than with paper and pen, we wanted to adapt to their technology lifestyle so they could perform their best on the exams.

The implementation was really easy and we were ready to get started very quickly. Both our students and teachers gave us feedback that it was intuitive and easy to use. Also, the grading system is great. Since we were the first school in the US using Digiexam we’ve also had a great partnership together where we’ve helped them in terms of features for the US market.
I believe it’s really important to evaluate your school’s culture and where you are in terms of technology. You don’t want to push your faculty into something, but instead, understand what they want and find a solution that fits. Digiexam has been a real-time saver for our teachers.

Trust. I believe that’s the key factor for success when introducing any new process. We work closely with our faculties to understand their needs so we know what to look for. This way they trust that we won’t introduce solutions that won’t be of use for them. We also spend a lot of time showing the teachers how to use the new technologies so that they are comfortable with it. With Digiexam, for example, we have several teachers that have gone over to using the platform exclusively for all kinds of assessments, exams, and finals and they really like it.
